The SOFTWARE is the property of ELTIMA Software and is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties.

Demo version

If you accept the terms and conditions of this AGREEMENT, you have certain rights and obligations as follows:

You may:

1. Install and use the unlimited number of copies of the Demo VERSION.

2. Use one or more copies of the Demo VERSION for evaluation purposes only.

3. Copy and distribute freely the Demo VERSION (see 'DISTRIBUTION').

You may not:

1. Sublicense, rent or lease the Demo VERSION or any portion of it (unless you are an authorized reseller/partner).

2. Decompile, disassemble, deflash, reverse engineer or modify the Demo VERSION or any portion of it.

Distribution:

You are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the Demo VERSION as you wish and distribute them to anyone provided that all files are intact. You must distribute the install form of the Demo VERSION (not the files resulting of an installation). You are not allowed to sell the Demo VERSION (except for shipment and handling charges). Computer's Magazines are authorized to distribute it on any Cover Disk or CD-ROM without any permission. Please inform us by e-mail each time you distribute the Demo VERSION.

Eltima RS232 data logger feedback

Excellent, easy to use and intuitive. Data captured successfully.
Used to transfer data to a modern PC from obsolete drives in an obsolete machine with only RS232 comms.

Rough and ready data capture

Software was good for my preliminary experiments capturing data from a mass flow meter. Output from the meter is continuous serial data so the Eltima data logger software had the limitation that is captures everything. I need to find or write my own logger software that can capture at timed intervals and maybe average data so that I can log a days worth of data and have a manageable file size.

Excellent as test and tutorial program

I used it to test my data acquisition hardware. I works fine, I experienced no data loss. The source code is great to help understand the Win32 RS232 API.
In some cases it would be very useful to be able to individually set or reset the DTR and RTS lines.

it is simple to use

It is really simple and easy to use. I initially thought I will have a difficult time trying to figure out how to use it. But it is just so simple.

This program is so helpful that we do not need to record the readings manually but it can be easily recorded.

Would hope that your program can help us not only record the values in txt form but also excel or the program is designed to be able to plot a graph at the same time.

Easy setup, nice clean interface. However,I would like if one could set automatic filename, for example yymmdd.txt

Good But....

Seems to function well - but we have decided not to use this at this time, we would also require the ability ot acknowledgde the data source being logged ().

Eltima logger

This logger is extremely easy to use and does not conflict with any other programs that I run. It produces a simple text file of the NMEA message with no embedded characters. It has no frills, but is a great choice for simple logging.

Missing feature

The program is excellent overall but It would really be useful to be able to view the flow of data being logged. How about an area to view those characters being logged? And finally, How about a minimize option of tne main window? Even better if we can minimize the program to the control tray. Thanks!!
The task I´m solving with this program is to log data coming from a phose switching system that gives me information about the phone calls traffic in and out.

No exactly what I was looking for...It works

I'm using this to capture my weather station data during the day.
What I was really after was a small form oprogram that
1. I could minimize ( Can't do that with this program)
2. A program that didnt lock itself to the log file. I wanted to be able to move off the file at midnight and save it as a new name and let the logger just open a new instance of the original log file. ( Can't do that with this program )
Thoughts are my only 2 concerns ! Outside of that I really like it !

Simply working.

Very friendly to use, works very well (as for my needs). I have nothing to complain about. I recommend it to people who needs rs232 input - > text file program as i did.
